The first operation to perform is a purification (pre-treatment) of the feedstock. This operation is quite similar in case of Soap Spent Lyes and Sweet Waters, while it is very different and variable in case of biodiesel crude glycerine.

The second operation, only in case of Soap Spent Lyes and Sweet Waters is their concentration up to 80 - 88% glycerol content.

The last operation, common to all types of glycerine, is their distillation, deodorization and bleaching up to pharmaceutical grade.
