The purpose of oil refining plants is to increase the oil quality in order to obtain adequate characteristics for edible use or for other industrial applications (for instance soap making, fatty acids splitting etc.)

Raw materials

Any crude oil is normally treated in a Refining Plant. Very often raw materials are Palm Oil, Tallow, etc.

Why oils are refined

Crude oils contain impurities that are negative for odour, colour, taste and chemical stability of the product. It is therefore essential to improve the product characteristics in order to obtain marketable oil.
For soap production, bleaching is normally sufficient.

Typical plant capacities

The most typical plant capacities range from a minimum of 5 ton/day up to more than 200 ton/day of refined oils.

Custom design

Typically an Oil Refining Plant is designed to satisfy the customer needs, that are very different from case to case (oil to be treated, capacity, final quality, etc) therefore Binacchi will be glad to prepare a personalized proposal expressly for you.
